Revere boys? coach Steve Magno knew his team was going to go through some growing pains this season. But the Patriots have found their stride as they demonstrated Thursday, when Eddie Sullivan, Steve Noel and Dan Muller all had hat tricks in a 10-4 win over the Lynn Shamrocks.
?We knew coming in that we had a bunch of young, inexperienced guys and we needed to find out what we had,” Magno said. “And that we needed to have realistic expectations. But now the plan is starting to come together.”
Thursday marked the third straight victory for the Patriots (4-8) and the first time all season they scored in double figures. Sullivan and Muller had two assists to go with their hat tricks while Dan Redding netted a goal and two assists.
?We?re starting to spread the scoring around and the kids are getting some confidence in going to the net,” Magno said.
The Shamrocks (2-10) got a pair of goals from Chris Holey and single goals from Jack Stafford and Sean Hemenway.
?We worked and played very hard but we just didn?t finish,” Lynn coach Peter Pappagianopoulos said. “That?s been the story of our season. The ball just isn?t bouncing our way right now.”Beverly 12, Marblehead 10
