Tennis Roundup: Swampscott girls leave Danvers seeing blue

The Swampscott girls swept the singles? matches and took one doubles? match to beat Danvers, 4-1, and improve to 11-2.
Anna Raptunovich got things started with a win in first singles, 6-1, 6-0. Vivien Gere (second) and Veronica Pyatigorskaya (third) each won their matches, 6-0, 6-0.
Coach Nina Rogers switched up the doubles pairings, putting Sara Cunningham and Michelle Snyder together. The duo responded with a 7-6, 6-2 win in second doubles.
?It was a great match for us today, all around,” said Rogers. “The singles all played strong and the doubles adjusted well to a different lineup.”
Beverly 5, Revere 0
Beverly (7-3) cruised to victory over with a clean sweep. Sophie Claus won the first singles? match, 6-3, 6-1, and Caroline Joseph won the second match, 6-0, 6-1. Carly Blau, usually a doubles player, played third singles and grabbed a 6-1, 6-1 win.
?I was really proud of Carly,” said Beverly coach Keith Brickhouse. “She moved up to singles and did a great job.”
In doubles play, Danielle Tetrault and Teyah Fasheh won the first match, 6-1, 6-2. Kayleigh Boucher and Katya Van Anderlecht took the second, 6-4, 6-1.
BOYS
Lynnfield 5, Amesbury 0
The Pioneers (1-9) notched their first win of the season with a sweep.
Mike Romano won first singles, 6-0, 6-0. Shreyas Kudrimoti won the second singles match, 6-1, 6-3, and Colin Lamusta battled for a win in third singles, 7-6, 3-6, 6-3.
In doubles play, Ethan Forrest and Danny Bronshvayg won the first match, 6-1, 6-1. Sam Forrest and Jose Garcia also won their match, 6-1, 6-1.
?We have a really good team,” said Lynnfield coach Adam Milholland. “Hopefully this win will help push us forward and we?ll close out the season on a high note.”
Swampscott 3, Danvers 2
It all came down to the final match for the Big Blue (6-4), and the doubles pairing of Tyler Gateman and Ray Rosa fought for a 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 win in second doubles to win it for Swampscott.
?It was a really tough battle,” said Swampscott coach Neil Whitehouse. “I was very proud of all my guys tonight.”
