People, Places and Things: 5-16-15

Girl Scouts seeing SilverPayton Ditchfield of Peabody, Emma Fringuelli of Lynn and Jackie Lonergan of Peabody are Girl Scouts at Our Lady of the Assumption School, Lynnfield.They recently earned their Silver Award, highest award given to a Girl Scout Cadette. The girls worked closely with the principal and art teacher at OLA to paint murals at the school. There was a need to beautify a dreary hallway, identify a new pre-school and music room, and convey the school’s motto and focus on faith.They spent a big part of their summer vacation organizing, prepping and painting. The result was four beautiful murals that had a positive impact on the faculty, students and visitors of the school. Their hard work also inspired others to volunteer in other service projects to benefit the school and community.
