Tennis Roundup: Classical rolls to win over Salem

After dropping the first singles match, Lynn Classical (13-2) rallied for a 4-1 win at Salem on Friday.
Meredith MacDonald battled for a win in second singles, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. Lizzie Troisi moved into the singles? lineup and won the third match, 6-4, 6-1.
The Rams took both doubles matches, with Shea Dunnigan and Briana Silva winning the first, 6-1, 6-3. Ashley Noel and Zoe Raymond took the second match, 6-3, 6-2.
?This was definitely a big win for us,” said Classical coach Cathy Ellis. “Salem is really a great team, and it could?ve gone either way for us today.”
Beverly 4, Peabody 1
The Panthers (9-4) grabbed a win over Peabody at home. Sophie Claus won the first singles match, 6-4, 6-2. Madison Tremblay took third singles, 6-0, 6-4.
Beverly also swept doubles play, with Carly Blau and Julia Silveria taking the first match, 6-0, 6-1. Allison Lewandowski and Kira Kennedy won the second match, 6-4, 6-2.
The lone win for Peabody came from Eleni Petromelis in second singles, 6-1, 6-2.
Swampscott 3, Saugus 2
Swampscott (15-2) dropped both doubles matches, but still pulled out a win over Saugus. Anna Raptunovich and Vivien Gere both swept their singles? matches, 6-0, 6-0. Senior Juliette Albo, usually a doubles player, moved up to third singles and won her first ever singles match, 6-2, 6-3.
?She was very excited for the opportunity,” Swampscott coach Nina Rogers said.
BOYS
Beverly 5, Peabody 0
Beverly improved to 8-4 with a win at Peabody. Peter Coletti and Dylan LeBlanc both won their singles matches, 6-0, 6-1. Nick MacPhail dropped a set but rallied to take the third singles match, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Skyler Crean and Colin Oliver won their match at first doubles, 6-1, 6-1. Kyle Martin and Justin Healy won the second doubles match, 6-0, 6-1.
Phillips Academy 4, St. John?s 2
St. John?s came away with a victory in singles and doubles in an exhibition match at Phillips Academy. Nick Salacci got a win in second singles, 6-2, 6-3, and Mateo Jacome and David Cunningham took second doubles, 9-7.
