The Peabody boys? track team scored 56 total points to take first place in the Division 1 State Relays Sunday at Newton South.
The Tanners scored right away, with the throwing team of Ariel Ayala, Anthony Cristos, and Marcus Vieira winning both the shot put (143 feet) and the discus (112-7).
The 4×100-meter team of Doug Santos, Hunter Jocelyn, Phil Bynum, and Christian Cedullo set a school record and qualified for nationals with a time of 42.79 seconds. The 4x200m team (Thales Gloria, Moisse Irizarry, Jocelyn, and Cedullo) also qualified for nationals with a time of 1:42.77.
In the longer distances, the 4×800-meter relay team won with a time of 8:16. The team consisted of Jason Karakaedos, Ben Manoogian, Mike Ricci, and Connor Wolff. Karakaedos and Manoogian then teamed up with Riley Dowd and Marcelo Rocha to take first in the 4×1-mile, setting a school record with a time of 18:09.7.

Division 4 State Relays
Swampscott?s sprint relay team of Bailey Shorr, Mackenzie Faulkner, Ella Parker, and Taylor Gateman qualified for nationals after taking third place with a time of 4:22.4. Shorr and Faulkner were also on the 4×100-meter relay team with Alex Gladstone and Zoe Petty that placed sixth with a time of 52.3.
Lynnfield took first place in the distance medley relay with a time of 13:07. The team consisted of Tia Patterson (1200m), Emily Scollard (400m), Marie Norwood (800m), and Kate Michell (1600m).
GIRLS? LACROSSE
Bishop Fenwick 10, Danvers 7
The Crusaders (11-5) got four goals from Colleen Corcoran in the home victory.
Merry Harrington added two goals for the Crusaders. Tori Hernandez, Ellen Fantozzi, Emily Rocker, and Alex Butler each scored one goal.
Goalie Meghan Carney had six saves, including a few big ones late to preserve the lead.
Ally Zunick led the way for Danvers (5-8-1) with two goals and one assist. Meaghan McKenna and Olivia Davis eached scored two goals, while Morgan Mscisz scored one.
Maya Valpaccio had 18 saves in the losing effort.

Beverly 8, Danvers 2
Beverly wrapped up its Northeastern Conference schedule with a win over Danvers. Clinton Cabral (two goals, four assists) and Sam Abate (one goal, two assists) were the multiple point-scorers for the Panthers (11-3).
