The Lynn Classical girls finished the regular season a perfect 10-0 on their newly redone home court at Breed Middle School with a 4-1 win over Saugus. The Rams swept the singles? matches and took one doubles? match for the victory.
Anna Athanasopoulos started off with a win in first singles, 6-0, 6-1. Meredith MacDonald (second singles) and Kayla O?Brien (third singles) also took their matches, 6-0, 6-1.
The Rams (15-2 overall) got a doubles? win from the second pairing of Ashley Noel and Zoe Raymond, 6-4, 6-4.
?It?s great that we?re playing well going into the tournament,” said Classical coach Cathy Ellis. “And we?re also very excited about going 10-0 on our new court.”

The Pioneers ended their dominant regular season with yet another win. Sarah Mezini won the first singles? match, 6-0, 6-1. Kelley Nevils took the second match, 6-1, 6-1, and Izzy Figucia won the third, 6-1, 6-2.
The doubles? team of Katie Nevils and Olivia Skelley won the first match, 6-0, 6-4. Camie Foley and Katie Nugent won also the second match, 6-0, 6-4.
While Lynnfield (17-0) is in familiar territory after an undefeated regular season last year, coach Craig Stone isn?t satisfied yet.
?We?re very fortunate to finish the season 17-0,” he said. “But we?ve got our eye on the prize at the end of the year.”
Swampscott 4, Beverly 1
Swampscott took two singles? matches and two doubles? matches. Anna Raptunovich and Vivien Gere won the singles? matches for the Big Blue (16-3), both by the score of 6-0, 6-0.
The doubles? team of Anya Peterson and Michelle Snyder faced a tough test in the first match, but still got a win, 7-5, 6-4. The team of Sara Cunningham and Anna Cilley took the second match, 6-2, 6-2.
?It was a nice win for us today,” said Swampscott coach Nina Rogers. “It was really difficult out there with the wind, but all the girls did a great job with it.”
Beverly (10-5) got a singles? win from Carly Blau, 6-0, 6-1.
Hamilton-Wenham 4, Danvers 1
The Falcons got a win from Shannon Veilleux in first singles?, 6-3, 6-3.

The Big Blue pulled out a win in their final home match of the season. Matt Jacobs took the first singles? match, 6-2, 6-0. Ian Crimmins won the second match, 6-4, 6-2, and Sam Mayblyum took the third match, 6-3, 6-2.
Swampscott (7-7) also got a doubles? win from the duo of Tyler Gateman and Ray Rosa, 6-4, 7-6.
?It was a good, solid win in our last home match,” said Swampscott coach Neil Whitehouse. “Overall, we?ve really been finishing strong.”
St. Mary?s 3, Hamilton-Wenham 2
Despite defaulting on a doubles? match because they didn?t have enough players, St. Mary?s was able to grind out a win. Brady Ryan took the first singles? match, 6-1, 6-0. Matt McManus took the second match, 6-4, 6-4.
After losing the third singles? match, it all came down to first double. The Spartans (15-1) sent out the team of Noah Camelo and Conor Foley, and the duo did not disappoint. The pair dropped the first set but rallied for a win, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Marblehead 4, Pentucket 1
Marblehead avenged an early season loss with a home win over Pentucket. Griffin Butterfield won the second singles? match, 6-3, 6-1, and Michael Forte took the third, 7-6, 6-3.
The Magicians (13-3) swept the doubles? matches, with Justin Faia and Garrett Tully taking the first match, 6-2, 6-2. The team of Sam Orenstein and Felix Livtak dropped a set early, but still got the win in second doubles, 1-6, 6-2, 6-4.
?The match could have easily gone either way,” said Marblehead coach Elisabeth Foukal. “But we showed perseverance and pulled it out.”Mike Alongi can be reached at [email protected]. Follow him on Twitter at @m_alongi.
