The Marblehead girls? lacrosse team got a little bit of a scare from Danvers on Thursday, but turned on the jets in the second half to take an 11-5 win and a share of the Northeastern Conference/North title with Beverly.
?We played a strong game,” Marblehead coach Annie Pugh said. “Our offense played with aggression and with will to win.”
Hadley Carlton sparked the offense for Marblehead (11-4-1) with four goals and one assist. Caroline Driscoll also netted four goals while Abby Settelmeyer, Lucie Poulin, and Corinne Mayle each had one.
Amanda Gregory dished out two assists while Casey Collins and Kylie Cronin were strong in the midfield.
Brittany Lydon stopped 17 shots, including eight of nine in the second half.
Peabody 17 Methuen 5
The Tanners kept their tournament hopes alive thanks to a solid effort on the road. Lauren Wolff had a seven-point game while Sarah Napolitano had six points.
Amanda Bradley and Sydney Cooke had three-point games and Adrianna Raneri, Ali Carney, and Emma Rigol each had two points.
Peabody (7-8) must win its season finale against Lynnfield on Wednesday to clinch a tournament berth.
Lynnfield 14, North Reading 8
Paige MacEachern scored five goals while Bailey Fanikos added a hat trick as the Pioneers claimed a win on senior night. Lynnfield (8-8) also got a pair of goals from Katie Scanlon.

Lynnfield 12, Cambridge 7
The red-hot Pioneers made it nine wins in a row as Kyle Martin fired home four goals.
Jon Knee added a hat trick and an assist while Pat Garrity had two goals and three assists.
Lynnfield (12-5) got a goal and five assists from Jake Forgione along with single markers from Max Robert and Matt Miller. Jack Ganter made 21 stops in goal.
Gloucester 8, Haverhill 4
The Fishermen led throughout, paced by a hat trick and an assist by Winslow Lewis. Tommy Donahue added two goals and an assist with Cormack Flickinger netting two goals.
Revere 15, Malden 11The Patriots got solid offensive games from Eddie Sullivan and Steve Noel to close the season on a high note. Revere (5-12-1) also received a solid performance from Nickson Velasquez in goal in his second career start.
