?Letters from War’ performances through Saturday in SalemThe play “Letters from War,” an original production by Salem native Nate Bertone, continues through Saturday at the Salem Theatre’s black box theater, 90 Lafayette St.The play is written in response to the effects of Alzheimer’s disease on the author’s grandmother, using images, memories and stories from past and present.”Over the years I have written this piece as a way of coping with the progressive loss of a grandmother and a best friend,” Bertone said. “At this point, I am ecstatic to share this story with the world, and am looking forward to this premiere prior to a New York City workshop presentation later this year.”The play will be performed tonight, Friday and Saturday at 7:30, with a 3 p.m. matinee also on Saturday.Tickets can be obtained online at http://salemthreatre.ticketleap.com/letters-from-war/They are $17 online at salemthreatre.com, $20 at the door and $10 for students and seniors.
