It was all Swampscott in a 12-0 softball victory Thursday night at Winthrop.
Hannah Leahy was a star for the Big Blue (11-7), striking out eight batters, surrendering five hits, and going 5-for-5 at the plate with four RBIs and a home run. Sam Rizzo, Olivia Cooke, Christina King, and Rikki Rooklin each had two RBIs.
Salem Academy 13, KIPP 3
KIPP got good defense from Angela Unubun, who caught three pop flies from the mound, and Saveour Ofuokwu, who made a great catch in left field.
Courtney Potter, first baseman for KIPP (4-5), also had a strong game.
Beverly 8, Masconomet 2
Panthers pitcher Emily Pitman had six strikeouts and went 2-for-3 at the plate in the victory. Olivia George had a two-run homer for Beverly (10-6), while Caitlyn Munzing and Ally Cabral each had RBI doubles.
Bishop Fenwick 16, Marian 0 (5 Innings)
Bishop Fenwick (10-6) came out swinging in a game that ended early under the mercy rule. Freshman Natalie Medros pitched for three innings, while Lauren Harris and Emily Hernandez each got an inning of work.
