LYNN – Steven Durbano, 42, of 200 Lewis St., who allegedly robbed the Eastern Bank on Market Street Tuesday morning, saying he was carrying a bomb, was arraigned in Lynn District Court Thursday morning.He will be held without bail, and a dangerousness hearing will be held May 28. Police said Durbano got away with $1,590.He was arrested Wednesday and charged with armed robbery; disorderly conduct; resisting arrest; and using intimidation to rob a bank.According to the teller who spoke with Durbano during the robbery, he appeared nervous before saying he had a bomb in his bag, and to give him all her money. He repeated the threat, and put the bag on the counter.The teller told police that she gave him the money in her drawer, after which he fled on foot out the door and onto Market Street.Durbano surrendered peacefully after barricading himself inside his home on Lewis Street and prompting a near two-hour standoff with police, including with the State Police Bomb Squad, Lynn Police and SWAT team.He was held in Lynn Police Department?s custody for the day Wednesday. Lt. Rick Donnelly said officers spent at least an hour and half on the telephone with him before they got him to give himself up.A detective, who was driving by, identified the suspect. Pictures were released on social media prior, and police received several tips regarding his identity in that manner.
