SAUGUS – Police said one person was injured during a three-car accident late afternoon Saturday – backing up traffic along Walnut Street for miles as far as Wakefield.Lilybeth Solis, of 19 French St., Lynn, was transported to Salem Hospital, treated and released, for non-life-threatening injuries, a hospital spokesman said.According to Officer John J. Naglieri, a vehicle was traveling toward Lynn on Walnut Street, just past the Route 1 exchange, with another motor vehicle behind it, when a third car struck the back of the second vehicle, pushing it into the one in front of it.The car that crashed into the middle vehicle was towed from the scene, and its operator was taken to Salem Hospital.Neither of the other two cars? drivers was injured.The accident occurred near Gospel Hall at 213 Walnut St. at 4:24 p.m., according to the police accident report.
