The North Shore Navigators saw their three-game win streak come to an end on Thursday as they fell to the Brockton Rox, 9-4, in Brockton.
The Rox jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, but the Navigators (3-4) struck back in the top of the third when Tanner Bush (UNC Asheville) reached on an error. He scored on an error to cut the deficit to 2-1.
The Navigators took the lead in the top of the fourth. Richie Fecteau (Salem State) led things off with a double. MJ Brown (Lee) hit an RBI double to tie the game at 2-2. Brown came around to score on a groundout by Maxx Sheehan (Franklin Pierce) to give the Navs a 3-2 lead.
Brockton exploded for six runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by a grand slam and a solo home run.The Navs added a run in the top of the ninth as Chad Martin (Bowdoin) singled home Giovanni Dingcong (Saint Thomas Aquinas).
