The Gannon Golf Course Ladies’ Spring 4-Ball competition came to a close over the weekend as the team of Sue Don and Ann Dawson won in a match that went down to the final hole.
In the semifinal round on Saturday, Don and Dawson, the No. 3 seeds, defeated Tara Friedman and Eloise Devaney 2-up to move on. Their opponents in the final were the No. 4 tandem of Patty Roderick and Linda Corbett, who took out the top-seeded team of Jane Fiste and Linda Courtemanche, 1-up.The championship match also went the distance as Dawson and Don won 1-up. In the consolation match, Fiste and Courtemanche also took a 1-up victory over Friedman and Deveney.
