Lynn Woods cross country series runs on

The Lynn Woods weekly cross country series continued on Wednesday. This week 293 runners competed.
The kids’ race, spanning 1.59 miles, was won by 9-year-old Quinn Garry, of Ipswich, in a time of 11 minutes, 32 seconds. Swampscott’s Liam Powell, 9, was second in 11:32. Behind him was Thomas Frisoli, 12, of Nahant (13:11) in third with Will Bochnak, 7, of Lynn fourth (13:55) and R.J. Faessler, 10, of Lynn, fifth (13:59).
They were followed across the finish line by Revo Velleco (11, Marblehead, 14:32), Ethan Jason, (8, Nahant, 14:34), Lucy Brown (9, Nahant, 14:39), Jay Fox (10, Swampscott, 15:19), Isabella Faessler (11, Lynn, 15:20), Michael Kelley (14, Lynn, 15:38), Sophia Alexakos (9, Nahant, 15:38), Fiona Jason (9, Nahant, 15:41), Sabrina Armstrong (11, Lynn, 15:50), Abigail Morris (14, Lynn, 18:53), Lydia Calderan (13, Lynn, 18:57), Dylan Costa-Wilson (7, Lynn, 19:23), Caitlin Kelley (8, Lynn, 20:45), Cody Phothisane (8, Lynn, 20:45), Calo Costa-Wilson (9, Lynn, 21:03), Maggie Conner (13, Swampscott, 22:29), Joslyn Deschenes (14, Lynn, 22:36), Christopher Kelley (11, Lynn, 24:21), James Dao (11, Lynn, 24:21), Tyler Fukuda (10, Swampscott, 29:25), Matthew Fukuda (8, Swampscott, 36:47).
There were three races for adults this week.
In the short race, the 2.49-miles course to Steel Tower via the Goat Path, the men’s division was won by Lynn’s Tony Mwanga, 17, in 15:49. Swampscott’s Shea Reny, 21, was second (16:03) with Lynn’s Jayden Lowe, 15, placing third (16:48). James Cabral, 17, of Lynn was fourth (17:12) with Lynn’s Andy Choun, 17, taking fifth (17:26).
The women’s division was won by Tiana Foglietta, 18, of Lynn in 17:39. Peabody’s Brittani Atkinson, 22, was second (18:42) with Lynn’s Kaylecia Cataloni, 11, in third (19:25). Beverly’s Freddi Pare, 43, was fourth (19:29). Peabody’s Lai-Sahn Hackett, 23, was fifth (19:30).
In the 7.7-mile run on Boulder Path, Lynn’s Matt Veiga, 28, won for the second week in a row in a time of 49:19. Salem’s Brendan Galvin, 41, was second (51:43) with Patrick Joy, 37, also from Salem, in third (53:15). Lynn’s Christopher Stank, 36, placed fourth (54:03) and Jim Pawlicki, 40, of Lynn was fifth (55:11).
The women’s race was won by Erin Hickey-Reardon, 35, of Reading in 1 hour, 1 minute, 27 seconds. Hyde Park’s Sasha Mackey, 28, was second (1:02:14). Kathleen Cliffe, 25, of Peabody placed third (1:03:09) with Somerville’s Katia Bertoldi, 37, in fourth (1:03:20) and Alice Beltran-Rodman, 40, of Reading in fifth (1:06:51).
In the 10-mile race, Peabody’s Joe Shairs, 47, took first place in 1:03:44. Ryan Collins, 30, of Hyde Park was second (1:06:33) with Boxford’s Jeff Hixon, 41, placing third (1:10:53). Salem’s William Jackson, 33, was fourth (1:11:49) and Beverly’s Michael Smith, 33, took fifth (1:12:11).
The women’s division was won by Salem’s Deirdre Lowe, 36, in 1:18:54. Salem’s Maura O’Day, 25, was second (1:33:41) with Lisa Colgan, 39, of Lynn in third (1:34:15). Lynn’s Leanne Faessler, 44, was fourth (1:34:18) with Beth Mooney of Lynn in fifth (1:34:19).
