LYNN – A 24-year-old Lynn man was arraigned Thursday morning in Lynn District Court on drug charges.Joshua Sisson, 24, of 16 Amity St., Apt. 1, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class C drug (klonopin, which is used for epilepsy and panic attacks); at 2:57 a.m. Thursday.According to Carrie Kimball Monahan, spokeswoman for the district attorney?s office, Sisson was held on $2,500 cash bail.?He had defaulted on two open cases – a shoplifting and a larceny over $250,” Kimball-Monahan said. “He is due back in court on all three cases on July 17.”Police said Sisson also resisted arrest, fleeing from police when they spotted him, leading them to threaten the use of pepper spray. He suffered two small knee cuts from the struggle, but didn?t require medical attention, police said.?We ordered him to stop running, but he continued to run away from us,” Officer Michael White said.Police said Sisson had five of the green pills with him, and scratched off the prescription bottle?s label.Sisson has a lengthy history with police and is known to them, according to police reports.He is being investigated for credit card fraud by the criminal investigation division after police found a Santander bank card with a recent larceny victim?s name on it.He was also arraigned for larceny of more than $250 June 5 at Lynn District Court. Judge Albert S. Conlon ordered Sisson to stay away from Whole Foods on Paradise Road in Swampscott and scheduled him to return to court for a pretrial hearing July 17. Sisson is also ordered to stay away from CVS Pharmacy on Eastern Avenue from an alleged May 6 offense.Police said Sisson admitted to them that he had a drug addiction problem, and his drug of choice was cocaine. He told police he wanted to tell them the truth.?This party was known to (CVS) workers as someone who has shoplifted from them prior,” Officer Mark Duran said.The Commonwealth, under District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett, filed a motion to revoke his bail since he committed a new offense Thursday. Blodgett said he poses a danger to the community.
