Marblehead’s Full carrying on Navy Seabee traditionMarblehead native and Chief Petty Officer James Full is serving as a member of the Navy Reserves with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 27 based in Gulfport, Miss. A 1988 Marblehead High School graduate, Full is a Seabee construction mechanic, responsible for managing battalion maintenance. Like all reservists, Full is ready to leave civilian life and serve the Navy when duty calls. He said his Reserve service has made him a more well-rounded person.”It’s helped me to prioritize and push the work through that needs to get done in a timely manner,” he said.The Navy Reserve is marking the 100th year of its formation.Fun for the whole family in Wyoma SquareThe Eighth Annual Wyoma Square Sidewalk Sale and Family Festival will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Events include Curious Creatures at East Boston Savings Bank, face painting at Ippi’s Bait and Tackle, yard sales at First Lutheran Church (back of Walgreens) and Grace Methodist Church, and hot dogs and cotton candy at Equitable Bank. North Shore Navigators players will be in attendance with mascot Chomps. Fill out free raffle tickets at East Boston Savings Bank, and there will be a drawing from 12:30-12:45 p.m.
