It was a tight game at MacArthur Park in Peabody, as the Winthrop squad scored in the top of the fourth and held on for the 2-1 victory over Swampscott Saturday in the first round of the District 16 Little League All-Star Baseball Tournament.David DiCiccio scored on Jasper Ezekiel?s hit in the first, and DiCiccio crossed the plate again in the fourth on Michael Chavis?s RBI single.DiCiccio also went 5 2/3 innings on the mound for Winthrop, but ran out of pitches and couldn?t close things out in the sixth.
