Two men were arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin and cocaine early Saturday morning.Gabriel Calderon, 25, of Lynn, and Geronimo Espinol, 36, of Peabody, were simultaneously caught by State Police at Motel 6 in Danvers around 6 a.m. Saturday.After a search warrant, police found what is believed to be more than 200 grams of heroin and more than 18 grams of cocaine.More than $12,000 in U.S. currency, numerous illegal drugs and paraphernalia associated with drug distribution were also found inside their motel room, police said.Calderon and Espinol were transported to the State Police barracks in Danvers and booked for trafficking a Class A drug; trafficking a Class B drug; possession of a Class B drug; possession of a Class C drug with intent to distribute; possession of a Class E drug with intent to distribute; conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws; and conspiracy.Both men were then taken to the Essex County House of Correction, where they were held on $500,000 cash bail, each pending arraignment in Salem District Court today.
