Tee Shots: Winners crowned at Gannon Member-Guest

Gannon Golf Club in Lynn held its annual men’s member-guest tournament on Saturday, June 27, with Mark Bono and Mike Christoforo shooting a 68 to win top gross.
Jay Fiste and Jonathan Nekoroski were two shots off in second with a 70, followed by Bill Lynch and Jack Morrison (72) in third.
In net play, Jim Rex II and Anthony Luciano took top honors, carding a 60.
Second place went to Jim Richmond and Paul Cameron (62), while Phil Guarino and Bill Mahony took third (64).
In the Callaway competition, three teams shot 72 to force a scorecard playoff. Maury Cliffe and Lou Riccio placed first, Jim Putney and Jim Putney Jr. were second, and Emmett O’Shea and Steven O’Shea took third.
Gannon is scheduled to host theOuimet Scholarship Fund Tournament Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5 at noon.
SECOND HOLE IN ONE FOR CONNOLLY
On June 16 at Gannon, Bill Connolly got the second thrill of a golfer’s lifetime when he made thr second hole-in-one of his life on the 14th hole.
Connolly used a 5-wood to clear the pond on the par-3, 140-yarder for the eagle.He was playing with Ken Grady, Fred Brown, and Steve Prendergast.
