LYNN – Being two years old isn?t keeping Avery Sinclair from launching a modeling career with his smiling face featured on the new Pampers Baby Dry Pants diaper packages.Avery?s father, Rodney, said Pampers picked the boy for one of its packaging photographs in spring, 2014 and Rodney and Diana Sinclair received a check in May for their son?s modeling work. The Sinclairs decided in fall, 2013 to see if their outgoing son could catch the eye of a modeling or talent agency.?We took him on casting calls all over the place. We wanted to get him involved in things we didn?t do as kids,” Rodney Sinclair said. They answered a Boston modeling agency?s casting call for children in 2014 and were surprised to get a call back for Avery. The call led to tryouts for several children?s toy and clothing photography sessions, but Avery?s first modeling job took place in March, 2014 when the Sinclairs traveled to New York City to try out for Pampers? packaging casting call.?They said they wanted him and asked us to come back in a couple of days,” Diana Sinclair said.Rodney Sinclair said he has not seen a Pampers package featuring his son, but he said the company sent the Sinclair?s a large picture of a sample package. Diana Sinclair?s hands are visible in the package photograph pulling up the size 4T-5T pull ups Avery is wearing.Rodney and Diana Sinclair said they have not mapped a modeling or acting career out for their son, but they want to expose him to a variety of experiences. Diana Sinclair said Avery?s casting calls opened her eyes to the modeling world.?It?s very last minute and there?s travel,” she said. The Sinclairs have lived in East Lynn for two years and own a two-family home. The couple grew up in Boston. Rodney Sinclair is a real estate agent and Diana Sinclair conducts pharmaceutical research.Rodney Sinclair said Avery?s initial modeling experiences showed him young male models are relatively rare.?A lot of perceptions about the modeling world are true. It?s looks-based, but it is also personality – being comfortable with one?s self,” he said.Although she has met parents committed to expanding their child?s modeling career, Diana Sinclair said her attitude is more along the line of, “Let?s see how it work out.”?In the meantime, it?s great,” she said.
