LYNN – A-list Hollywood actors, such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart, have developed a prominent presence in the Boston area over the past several weeks with the filming of next summer’s blockbuster “Central Intelligence.”Monday, it was Lynn Classical High School’s turn to play host to Hollywood. In the wee hours of the morning, film crews quickly crowded into the school parking lot on O’Callaghan Way, with dozens of trailer trucks filled with film equipment crammed into the spaces to set up shop for a day of filming. The sidewalks of O’Callaghan Way filled up with fans trying to catch a glimpse of the actors in action. Fans started their day with a social media frenzy when Hart uploaded a video of himself in the distinct “C” corridor hallway of Lynn Classical.Hart, who celebrated his 36th birthday Monday, had a group of supporters on the street with posters, balloons and even chants of his name.Although the entire building of Lynn Classical was occupied by an army of people working on a movie set, the actual filming only took place in the “C” corridor hallway and the foyer of the school.”It’s quite a production to actually see what everything entails when filming a movie,” said Classical Principal Gene Constantino.Artifacts in the foyer outside the gym that depict the school’s rich athletic history were replaced with props for the film, such as an old junior prom picture, medals, plaques and a letterman jacket (as opposed to Letterman).”You never really know the amount of work that goes into the little things for a movie,” said Constantino, who completed his fifth year as principal last month. “The attention to detail was amazing.”Central Intelligence is an action comedy about a once-bullied high school geek who transformed into a lethal Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agent (Johnson) and returns home for his high school reunion.Johnson, who claims to be on a “top-secret” case, teams up with former “big-man on campus” (Hart), who is now an accountant trying his best to relive his glory days. Hart realizes that he has gotten in way over his head when his new friend, Johnson, drags him into a world of shoot-outs, double crosses and espionage that could get both of them killed.”Central Intelligence” is set to hit theaters June of 2016.
