Marblehead Rotary Club names new presidentZach Newell was installed as the new president of the Marblehead Rotary Club at its lunch last Thursday at the Boston Yacht Club. He accepted the gavel from former President and Sergeant-at-Arms Tom McNulty and accepted the presidency following the term of outgoing President Tanya DeGenova.In his acceptance speech, Newell outlined his goals for the coming term. He plans to continue supporting the high energy within the Marblehead Rotary Club and acknowledged committee heads and specific accomplishments and contributions. As part of his strategy, he appointed several new members to head standing committees and tasked them to develop new initiatives, identify extreme needs in the community and continue with active social involvement to strengthen fellowship and to raise visibility of the Rotary in the community.The club meets Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. at the Boston Yacht Club.
