It was a thriller on Saturday at the Bowser Complex as Lynn walked off on Maurice Segueirra?s two-out single, driving home Will Hunter to defeat Peabody, 6-5, in the Babe Ruth Eastern Mass. 13s tournament.
Segueirra drove in two of Lynn?s six runs and Hunter scored twice. Andy Duverge reached base twice and scored both times, and Aubrey Connors singled in a run. Jomar Moreta went the distance on the hill, and settled in nicely after giving up five runs over the first four innings.
Things did not go as well on Sunday for Lynn as it was knocked out of the tournament by Arlington, 13-4. Lynn finished 2-2.
Moreta doubled, singled, and scored three times in the loss. Hunter was on base three times as he walked, singled, and reached on an error.

With the victory over Arlington, Lynn clinched its spot in the state semifinal. Christian Burt went 2 for 4 with a triple, single, two RBIs, and two runs scored. David Barnard scored three times, reaching on a double, single, and walk.
Barnard went six innings for Lynn, allowing three runs and striking out four.
Marblehead 10, Winchester 0
Marblehead 8, Saugus 4Marblehead blanked Winchester on Saturday and outhit Saugus on Sunday to claim a spot in the state semifinal. As the number two seed with a 3-1 record in the Eastern Mass. tournament, Marblehead will travel to Taunton Monday night and take on the South?s top seed at 6 p.m.
