Parks and Rec basketball league

Gannon defeated the Robert W. Irvine team, 47-42, in the elementary school division of the Lynn Parks and Recreation Department’s summer basketball league on Tuesday at Breed Middle School. Omri Merryman had a game-high 20 points for Gannon while Ali Barry had 10 for Irvine.
The other elementary game saw John Walsh’s team defeated Councilor Rick Ford’s squad, 49-45 in the other elementary-division game. Walsh’s Victor Mafo and Ford’s Oliver Gravely led the game with 21 points each.
In the junior high division, Lynn Housing Authority beat Meninno Construction, 56-35, led by 21 points from Jeff Hill while Ghaizel Espinal had 20 points for Meninno.
The other junior high game had Gannon defeated Leahy Landscaping, 65-46, in the other junior high game. Gannon’s Rondell Braithwaite led all scorers with 24 points. Diego Lopez had 17 points for Leahy.
In the high school division, EZ Landscaping bested Eastern Bank, 62-56, led by 23 points from Dyrrell Rucker. Dave Metelus had 20 for Eastern Bank.
