LYNN – More than 60 Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce members attended the launch of the new Young Professionals initiative with a spirit and food tasting on the rooftop of the All Care VNA.The YP mission is to give young professionals and entrepreneurs an opportunity to network with others while offering “left of center events and networking opportunities with a non-traditional twist.”Plans are in the works for an autumn scavenger hunt that will involve visiting businesses and networking, followed by a night of bowling in December. The initiative targets young professionals from ages 25-45, but all are encouraged and invited to attend.Committee Tri-Chairs are Brendan Ward (Ward Estate & Family Law), Brandon Freeman (Wayne Alarm Systems), Anthony Migliaccio (Salvy the Florist), Jim Reece (Welch Florist), Joe Scianatico (Salem Five) and Andrew Nazarro (KW Insurance). The committee welcomes other young professionals to join them and create the series.Food was donated by Asian Garden, Green Tea, John’s Roast Beef, Lazy Dog Sports Bar and the Lynnway Sports Center.Sponsors for the 2015-16 series are: Lead Sponsor Leahy Landscaping; Silver Sponsors: BNI Atlantic Referral Exchange Lynn, Welch Florist; Bronze Sponsors: Gallo Law Office, People’s United Bank, Salvy the Florist and Ward Estate & Family Law.For more information about the YP committee, sponsorships still available or membership and other events of the LACC, please call the office at 781-592-2900 or email [email protected].
