Record number of finishers at Lynn Woods

The Lynn Woods race had a record 344 finishers on Wednesday night.
Taking first place in the kids’ 1.59-mile race for the boys was Beverly’s Kevin Kelsey, 12, in 11 minutes, 21 seconds. He was followed by Ryan Amirault (8, Lynn, 13:48), Lucas Carter (11, Marblehead, 13:52), Sean Osbahr (11, Nahant, 13:54) and Lex Picillo (7, Salem, 14:58), Tyler Fukada (10, Swampscott, 15:01), Noah Blake (10, Salem, 15:12), Will Cerrutti (8, Marblehead, 15:37), Jaiden Driscoll (8, Lynn, 16:09) and Will Fox (8, Swampscott, 16:38).
Katie Reinwald (12, 12:33, Beverly) and Kate Kelsey (10, 13:39, Beverly) led the girls’ race and were second and third, respectively, overall. They were followed by Ruthie Epple (10, Peabody, 15:29), Olivia Martinez (9, Peabody, 15:33), Hannah Desilets (8, Lynn, 15:35), Shayia Robertson (15, Peabody, 16:11), Alison Pheulpin (12, Beverly, 16:28), Stephanie Curran (12, Wakefield, 16:44), Kate Parson (12, Salem, 16:54) and Isabella Blake (8, Salem, 17:22).
In the shorter Steel Tower via Goat Path race, Michael Paulin, 40, of Beverly, won the men’s division in a time of 15:00. He was followed by 10-year-old Luke Hyer (Swampscott, 15:24), Bradley Gates (41, Haverhill, 16:07), Anand Patel (18, Salem, 16:38) James Cabral (17, Salem, 16:42)
Jennifer Howland 27, of Danvers, won the women’s division with a time of 17:07. She was followed by Tara Paulin (37, Beverly, 17:22), Brittani Atkinson (22, Peabody, 18:00), Jodi Hyer (43, Swampscott, 19:04) and Gloria Santos (58, Revere, 19:51).
In the 4.7-mile Stone Tower Surprise race, Alex DeRosa, 25, of Saugus, won the men’s division with a time of 27:44. He was followed by Matt Veiga (28, Lynn, 27:59), Nakri Dao (42, Lynn, 29:42), William Jackson (33, Salem, 29:46) and Chris Smith (49, Woburn, 29:52).
Maria Santos, 44, of Jersey City, NJ, won the women’s division with a time of 32:16. She was followed by Deirdre Lowe (36, Salem, 33:13), Katia Bertoldi (37, Somerville, 36:11), Emily Curran (19, Wakefield, 36:54) and Kristen Field (37, Salem, 37:28).
