NAHANT – Saturday, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Nahant’s Life Saving Station, Soul Rebel Project, a band from Boston, will play for the town’s Beach Reggae Party. The event will benefit the Nahant Preservation Trust for the station.”Hot dogs and hamburgers and all the fixings will be on sale in the backyard of the Life Saving Station, along with an ice cream truck for the kids throughout the event,” said Roz Puleo of the NPT.”The band’s latest album is ?Higher Place’ and is available on iTunes,” Puleo said. “They have a new one on the way this fall.”The band is made up of four musicians: Mike Francis, Jay Harris, Adam Saylor and Geoff Pilkington.”They are a big North Shore band and play mostly around Salem, Beverly and Gloucester,” said band manager Andrea Harris. “This will also help get their music out there to share with people who may not be able to make it elsewhere.””The concert is free,” said Puleo. “Money is raised through the sale of the food and a portion of the ice cream.””For the past three years we have been putting on this show for free to the public to help raise money for the Nahant Preservation Trust,” said Harris.The Beach Reggae Party will be held on the beach behind the Life Saving Station, which it will benefit.The band will also perform at the End of the Summer concert.”Come, bring your beach chairs, dance in the sand and enjoy the music,” said Puleo. “It should be a fun time with music and food trucks.”
