Anthony Silfa scored 38 points to help Lynn English defeat Saugus, 86-66, on the road in Saugus on Friday. With the win, the Bulldogs (6-3) snapped a two-game losing streak. Abraham Diaz scored 19 points in his first start of the season for English.

“We were really coming off two bad losses, so this was a big game for us,” said English coach Mike Carr. “And for the first time this year, we came out and played 32 minutes of defense. That’s what allowed us to score so much tonight. We did a great job pressuring the ball, getting steals and scoring in transition.”

David Lewinsky was the leading scorer for Saugus with 20 points.
