Nick Westin was a winner in multiple events for the Lynn Tech Tigers on Friday.

The Lynn Tech swim team cruised to a victory over Minuteman, winning 95-64 at home.
Nick Westin notched multiple wins for the Tigers (2-1), finishing first in both the 200-yard individual medley (2:41.01) and the 500 freestyle (6:29.68). Juan Bernabe finished first in the 50 freestyle (29.55), Jaleem Alicea finished first in the 100 butterfly (1:35.55) and Joie Donnelly finished first in the 100 backstroke (1:27.14). Francisco Fresco placed first in diving for Lynn Tech.
The Tigers also took all three relay races. The team of Jim Purdy, Donnelly, Westin and Bernabe finished first in the 200 medley relay (2:20.68), the team of Carlos Gonzalez, Hector Alas, Bernabe and Alicea finished first in the 200 freestyle relay (2:06.03) and the team of Edgar Ortega, Alicea, Westin and Fresco finished first in the 400 freestyle relay (4:55.43).

St. John’s grabbed a win on the road.
BOYS’ HOCKEY
Beverly 4, Everett 3
Senior captain Ross Wahl recorded three points for Beverly as the Panthers picked up their second win in a row. Wahl assisted on a Sean Hanlon goal in the first period before scoring two goals of his own in the second. Hanlon, also a senior captain, also finished the night with three points after grabbing two assists. Senior Hunter Spencer scored the fourth goal for Beverly (2-4-2). Sophomore Tim McCarthy notched two assists, while senior Tylor Cloutman had one.
“It was a good win for us,” said Beverly coach Justin Shairs. “It was our second in a row after a slow start to the season, and the guys have been working hard. They let it get kind of close at the end, but they finished strong and did a good job. Hopefully we can keep this momentum going.”
GYMNASTICS
Danvers 132.05, Peabody 126.95
Jessica Reid had a solid day in a loss for Peabody (1-1). Reid finished tied for first on the beam (8.85) and also finished second in the all-around (33.5), third in the vault (8.5), third on the bars (7.9) and third on the floor (8.5). Shelby McKie finished tied for second on the beam with a 7.9.
