Led by sophomore forward Paris Wilkey, the Lynn Classical Rams were able to cruise past Saugus, 63-29, at home on Tuesday night. Wilkey led the way with 21 points for Classical, while Priscilla Alouidor contributed five points. Chenysse Hill had a great all-around game for the Rams, finishing with eight points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals.

“The kids played really well on both sides of the ball tonight,” said Classical (8-4) coach Tom Sawyer. “We were aggressive on offense and solid on defense. It was a great effort.”

The Sachems (6-4) had what coach Mark Schruender called “a rough night.” Krissy Italiano led the team with eight points and eight rebounds, while Alessia Salzillo added three points and five steals in a strong defensive effort. Alana Aldridge came with good energy off the bench, helping Saugus to keep the pressure on Classical.

Swampscott 60, Revere 55

Freshman center Faye Parker recorded a double-double, leading Swampscott (7-2) with 19 points and 12 rebounds on the night. The Big Blue’s Meghan Hartmann had 14 points and five assists. Hannah Leahy had a strong defensive effort for the Big Blue, dominating the stretch.

Lynn English 54, Gloucester 44

The Bulldogs (2-6) played their best game of the season, coming out with intensity and strong defense to control the game from the start. After a small lapse in scoring and a pushback by Gloucester in the second half, English responded, finished big and got the win.

“I saw a completely different team than I have all year long,” said coach Rachael Bradley. “This game was a testament to the work and practice the girls have put in.”

Dorothy Ezemba had 19 points and 24 rebounds, which Bradley said was a major confidence booster after the past few games. Ely Guity recorded 13 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Regina Ngaleu had six points and seven rebounds for English.

Shawsheen 54, Lynn Tech 24

The Tigers (1-8), who have a small team to begin with, played with a short bench most of the game after some key starters went down with injuries early. Their defense took the biggest hit, allowing Shawsheen to take over offensively. Jamila Constantine had ten points on the night, and continued her aggressive play as she has throughout the season. Aexia Martinez scored eight points, taking a majority of the free throws for the Tigers. Lila Nieves recorded six points.

Bishop Fenwick 71, Matignon 29

Fenwick sprinted out to a huge lead early and coasted to a victory on the road. Senior captain Sydney Brennan was the Crusaders’ leading scorer with 18 points, also adding four assists. Senior captain Colleen Corcoran nearly had a triple-double, finishing with 13 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and four assists. Junior Sam Mancinelli had seven points and six assists, while freshman Jaxson Nadeau had six points, seven rebounds and two steals.

Peabody 53, Salem 42

A comeback in the second half and strong play in the fourth quarter helped the Tanners (4-3) overcome Salem. Melissa Gray led Peabody with 17 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. Marina DeMild scored 12 points and tallied 11 rebounds, while Katie Wallace had 10 points for the Tanners.
