LYNN — She sells homes for a living, but Eileen Jonah-Daly will join other agents in Washington D.C. today to meet with members of Congress to champion the real estate industry.
The National Association of Realtors and their legion of brokers will continue to fight to preserve homeowner tax deductions. They will meet over the next week with U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton and other supporters.
“He is 100 percent for creating homes affordable to veterans and middle-class workers,” Jonah-Daly said of the Salem Democrat.
The Massachusetts Association of Realtors named her Massachusetts Realtor of the Year in 2015 out of 15 nominees selected by local associations. The award recognized Jonah-Daly’s service to the trade group, as well as community and business accomplishments.
She is a real estate agent with Annmarie Jonah Realtors on Broadway.
Jonah-Daly was the 2015 President of the North Shore Association of Realtors where she serves on the Finance and Budget and Orientation Committee. She served on the board of directors members from 2011 to 2013.
At the group’s state level, Jonah-Daly serves on the board of directors and is a member of Government Affairs, FPC, and Forms Committees.
A Realtor since 2005, Jonah-Daly is federal political coordinator for the National Association of Realtors and at the state level. She said the Washington trip will include a five- kilometer run on Thursday and sightseeing.
“We’ll descend on Washington and we’ll have fun,” she said.
