Ernst, Aroke standout at All-State track meet

Marblehead’s Andrew Ernst scored a first-place finish in the boys 800-meter race in Saturday’s all-state track meet at Westfield State College with a 1:51.87 while Peabody’s Cynthia Aroke won the girls 400 hurdles in 1:02.68 while placing second in the 100 hurdles in 14.67.

Nate Hobbs of St. John’s Prep also had a top finish, in the triple jump, with a 45-09.50.

There were several other notable finishes in Saturday’s meet. The results are as follows:
