Andrew Olszak came into the game in the sixth and left with the win in Danvers’ 6-3 victory over North Andover.
Behind a big day from Danny Lynch, the Danvers baseball team took down North Andover in the Division 2 North semifinals with a 6-3 win at Endicott College Thursday.
Lynch’s three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth proved to be the difference in the game, as the Falcons rolled to their 14th-straight win. In the sixth, Zach Dillon hit a triple to center, but it looked like the leadoff hit might be wasted as the Falcons grounded out twice without moving the runner. Andrew Olszak drew a walk, and that brought up Lynch, who had already homered in the game.
Dean Borders got the start for Danvers, holding North Andover to three runs. Olszak relieved Borders with one out in the sixth, and earned the win, his sixth-straight in the postseason.
The Falcons advance to the D2 North final for the second year in a row, and fill face No. 3 Reading.
