LYNN — Two local magazine publishers put art in motion with their private fashion show on Saturday.

Lynn residents David Jean and Jeff Lambray are co-owners of Fase Magazine, a fashion, arts, sports and entertainment site, and the newest tenants of the Lydia Pinkham Building. The pair moved in two months ago where they publish the magazine.

Fashion After Dark Presents Art in Motion, their first fashion show in Lynn, was held as a soft relaunching of their website, which is under construction for rebranding, and is set to be active by Saturday. The publication launched last year, but has expanded since then.

“The main concept of the show was to have a combination of both fashion and art,” Jean said.

The show featured casual apparel and activewear from three emerging designers and one boutique. Lucky Onez, a Lynn-based collection, features the designs of Marveil Builou. Two other up and coming designers featured were Hannah Richardson, with Designs by Anya, and an unnamed collection from Adam Dalton Blake. Clothes were also shown from Winthrop-based La Petite Boutique.

Models wearing the clothing made their way down a hallway in the Pinkham Building, staged as a runway, before stopping at the Fase office, which was set up with paintings and sculpture by five artists. Also on display were purses from Couture Planet and Princess London Shoes.

The kick-off show was one of three summer invitation-only events planned to introduce the magazine to the city. Only certain people following the publication’s Facebook page were invited, with 25 to 30 in attendance. That will also apply for a pop-up show, or networking event, next month. Targeted individuals are photographers, businessmen and women, and those with an arts fashion background.

“We wanted to try to keep it intimate,” Lambray said.

In the fall, the pair will take their planned occasions to Boston, where their official website relaunching will be held in conjunction with the city’s Fashion Week.
