Salem’s Isabella Blake leads the pack at the start of the 1.59-mile kids race at Lynn Woods on Wednesday.
The Lynn Woods races saw a season-high 293 runners cross the finish line Wednesday night.
A fourth race was introduced Wednesday, with 19 runners testing out what organizers called βthe very long one,β a 10.8-mile course. Lynnβs Matt Veiga, a Lynn Woods regular, took down the course in 1 hour, 13 minutes and 9 seconds, with Salemβs William Jackson close behind (1:14:05). Boxfordβs Jeff Hixon came in third (1:14:34), followed by Salemβs Greg Esbitt (1:15:41) and Lynnβs Christopher Stank (1:17:41).
Salemβs Deirdre Lowe was the top female finisher at 1:22:47, followed Maura OβDay of Salem (1:24:05). Katerina Gosek of Lynn was third at 1:51:20. Β
In the short, 1.59-mile kids race, Salemβs Sal Afflitto flew through the course, pacing the group at 11:51. Salemβs Noah Blake was second (13:36), followed by Ramon Nunez of Lynn (14:46), Lex Picillo of Swampscott (15:00) and Cino Picillo of Swampscott (15:04).
The top female finisher in the kids race was Ruthie Epple of Peabody with a time of 13:49. She was followed by Kate Kelsey of Beverly (14:25), Emily Terrien of Lynn (16:13), Ava Shultz of Lynn (16:22) and Isabella Blake of Salem (16:49).
In the 2.3-mile race on the goat path, Brandon Mendez-Lopez of Lynn took the top spot with a time of 14:27. Behind him was Adam Bryson of Lynn (14:46), Carl Gilles of Reading (14:55), Shea Reny of Swampscott (14:55) and Colin Harvey of Lynn (15:06).
On the womenβs side, the top finisher was Tiana Foglietta of Lynn (15:35). Behind her were Maeve Hitchcock of Swampscott (16:24), Brittani Atkinson of Peabody (16:45), Lai-Sahn Hackett of Peabody (16:51) and Andrea Saccardo of Peabody (16:55).
Finally, in the 7.7-mile race down the boulder path, Lynnβs Jim Pawlicki finished in first place with a time of 54:21. He was followed by Martin Tighe of Providence, R.I. (54:33), Andy Wentze of Tempe, Ariz. (54:56), Mark DβAmico of Saugus (56:09) and Zach Seibold of Cambridge (1:00:35).
The top female finisher in the long race was Erin Hickey-Reardon of Reading (1:00:57). She was followed by Sue Donovan of Billerica (1:05:15), Amy Morgan of Woburn (1:06:39), Elysia Sanchez of Lynn (1:09:39) and Danielle Strong of Lynn (1:09:51).
