The Nahant Little League All-Stars rolled to an 8-4 win over Saugus National Monday night behind a stellar effort from starter Aidan Graciale.

Graciale didn’t allow a hit and struck out 10 in his five innings of work, walking two, but his pitch count forced him out before he could finish out the no-hitter. Graciale also went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Billy Conigliaro went 3-for-4 for Nahant, driving in two runs, and made a huge play in the outfield, throwing out a runner at the plate to end the game.

Seamus Foley had a big hit for Nahant, and Drew Botta had an RBI single. Sam Reenstierna scored twice and came through with a big bunt base hit, and Colby Goodwin smacked a double.

Nahant will take on Lynnfield Friday evening.

Peabody 11, Danvers 3

At World Series Park in Saugus, Sullivan Marino’s three-run second-inning double proved to be the key hit as Peabody moved to 2-1 in the round-robin tournament.

Saugus and Lynn, both undefeated thus far, will play tonight. Whichever team loses will be tied with Peabody at 2-1 as the series heads for the home stretch. Each team plays five games, with the tournament slated to end July 3.

Peabody, which jumped out in front early, used four pitches and has virtually its entire staff ready for its next game, which is to be played Friday (5:30) against Saugus.
