Big turnout for Lynn Woods races

Beverly’s Kate Kelsey finished seventh overall in this week’s 1.59-mile long kids race at Lynn Woods on Wednesday.

The Lynn Woods races continued on Wednesday night, with 347 runners competing over the three races.

In the 1.59-mile kids race, Emma Zawatski of Manalapan, N.J. took first place with a time of 12:03. The girls finishing behind her were Nahant’s Grace Hudson (13:09), Nahant’s Maddie Hudson (13:11), Lynn’s Katherine Clancy (14:03) and Beverly’s Kate Kelsey (14:11).

For the boys, Lynn’s Will Bochnak was the top finisher with a time of 13:09. Behind him were Salem’s Thomas Gale, Jr. (13:57), Swampscott’s Luke Michagen (16:26), Wakefield’s Stephen Curran (16:29) and Beverly’s Tobey Archibald (16:45).

In the 3.5-mile race down the goat path, Lynn’s Tony Mwangi took the top spot with a time of 23:10. Zach Zawatski of Manalapan, N.J. finished right behind him (23:12), followed by Lynn’s Colin Harvey (24:36), Lynnfield’s Brian Hutter (26:27) and Manalapan’s Geoff Zawatski (27:23).

On the women’s side, Marblehead’s Emma McGuirk was the top finisher with a time of 26:48. Behind her were Peabody’s Lai-Sahn Hackett (27:36), Lynn’s Miki Divirgilio (28:26), Peabody’s Andrea Saccardo (28:51) and Lynn’s Ava Shultz (29:18).

In the 6.5-mile long race, Lynn’s Matt Veiga finished first with a time of 43:27. Finishing behind him were Melrose’s Adam Cook (47:29), Lynn’s Nakri Dao (47:42), Peabody’s Joe Shairs (47:50) and Lynn’s Christopher Stank (49:10).

Salem’s Robin Lermond was the top female finisher with a time of 44:58. Behind her were Peabody’s Akianna Maida (52:44), Salem’s Deirdre Lowe (52:54), Lynn’s Danielle Strong (52:58) and Beverly’s Freddi Pare (1:01:53).
