LYNN — A night of passion ended badly for one couple.
At about 10 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a call of two people possibly having sex in a pick-up truck on Green Street. The truck, along with its two occupants, a 27-year-old Lynn man and a 40-year-old Lynn woman, were sent on their way, Lynn Police Lt. Rick Donnelly said.
The truck, driven by the man who Donnelly declined to identify, hit a parked car and fled. Police followed. The pick-up truck rolled over in Freeman Square after hitting another vehicle, with two women inside, Donnelly said.
The two women hit by the truck were treated at the hospital for minor injuries. The man driving the pick-up truck tried to flee the scene but was stopped, handcuffed and taken to the hospital. Police later learned that he may have a brain bleed so he was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, Donnelly said.
The woman in the pick-up truck was uninjured, he added.
The man has not been arrested, but he will be summoned for operating under the influence and motor vehicle offenses, Donnelly said.
