(3:30 p.m.) The victim in this morning’s fatal shooting has been identified as 24-year-old Philip Russo, of Peabody, according to Essex District Attorney’s spokeswoman Carrie Kimball Monahan.
No arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing.

Lynn Police are investigating an early Monday morning shooting death near the corner of Chestnut and Union streets.
Police Capt. Mark O’Toole said the victim is a white male in his 20s. O’Toole said police were called to the scene at 5:56 a.m. and are seeking possibly two suspects.
Officers blocked off Chestnut Street between Essex Street and Union Street during the investigation, and the two block area remained restricted to traffic as of 8 a.m. The victim was found in the street at the corner of Chestnut and Mason streets.
“This is an active and fluid investigation,” said Essex District Attorney’s spokeswoman Carrie Kimball Monahan.
