A Lynn man is being held without bail after being arraigned on a murder charge in Lynn District Court.
Michael Tate, 28, of Lynn, is accused of shooting Philip Russo, 24, near 160 Chestnut St. in Lynn on Monday, according to the Essex District Attorney’s Office.
Police responded to a 6 a.m. call on Monday and found Russo lying near the corner of Mason Street with a gunshot wound.
Judge Matthew Machera granted a request by the DA’s office not to release the police report due to the ongoing investigation.
Tate is scheduled to appear in Lynn District Court on Aug. 17 for a probable cause hearing.
