PEABODY — The second man suspected of killing Mark Greenlaw and his girlfriend, Jennifer O’Connor, will be arraigned today in Peabody District Court, according to the Essex County District Attorney’s office.
Wes Doughty is returning to Massachusetts to face two counts of first-degree murder.
The bodies of Greenlaw, 37, and O’Connor, 39, were found Feb. 18 in a home at 19 Farm Ave. in Peabody. Police began searching for Doughty the same night.
The 39-year-old suspect was arrested Friday in South Carolina for solicitation, the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said. Investigators ran his name and date of birth through the National Crime Information Center, and learned that he was wanted for a double homicide in Peabody and carjacking in Boston, according to the sheriff’s office.

Doughty was arraigned Monday at the Spartanburg County Detention Facility on a fugitive from justice charge. He signed a waiver of rendition Friday in South Carolina, according to the DA’s office.
Doughty allegedly carjacked Kenneth Metz, a 64-year-old grandfather, Wednesday night in the parking lot of Hailey’s Restaurant & Pub on South Main Street in Middleton, before Metz was able to escape three hours later in Boston.
Metz told reporters Thursday outside his Middleton home that Doughty confessed to the killings. Police said that Doughty, armed with a knife, restrained Metz with a seat belt.
The other suspect in the double homicide, Michael Hebb, 45, was arrested Feb. 20 at an apartment at 84 Aborn St. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in Peabody District Court. He is scheduled to next appear in court March 28 for a probable cause hearing.
