Lynn Police are seeking help to identify the woman they say robbed Santander Bank.
LYNN — The Lynn Police Department released a photo Friday of the woman they say robbed Santander Bank, 414 Broadway, around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
The suspect is described by police as a white woman between 25-35 years old, about 150 pounds and 5 feet, 5 inches.
A post on the department’s Facebook page said the suspect handed a bank teller a note saying she wanted money and had a gun. She also made a motion toward the teller that suggested she was armed, Lt. Rick Donnelly said Thursday.
The teller gave the suspect more than $2,900 in cash along with a red dye pack, which exploded in a nearby parking lot, the post said. More than $1,700 colored with the dye has been recovered.
Anyone with any information on the robbery or suspect is asked to call Lynn police at (781) 595-2000 or the anonymous tip line at (781) 477-4444. Cellphone users can send an anonymous tip by texting “tiplynn” and the information to tip411 (847411).
