LYNN — Adidas Mastin, 27, was arrested after police found an illegal handgun on him Wednesday.
Detectives from the Lynn Police Gang Unit saw Mastin, and knew that he had warrants out for his arrest for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and witness intimidation. Police stopped him at the corner of Brook and Timson streets, Lynn police said.
Mastin was patted down for weapons, and police felt a handgun in his front sweatshirt pocket. They removed the gun, a loaded revolver with six rounds, and Mastin was arrested, police said.
Mastin was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, firearm use in a felony, carrying a loaded firearm weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card and drug possession with intent to distribute.
