The St. Mary’s boys and girls track teams logged four wins between them Tuesday, as the boys topped Marian, 85-48, and Cristo Rey, 109-18, and the girls dominated both Marian, 100-28, and Cristo Rey, 125-7.
For the boys, James Brumfield won the 100-meter hurdle in 11.6 seconds. Brumfield also logged wins in the high jump, long jump, and anchored the 4×100 relay. The other members of that winning relay team were Christian Couillard, Marlon Scott and Olu George.
Connor Mackey won the 2-miles, Jack Carroll won the mile, Fred Blaise won the shotput with a personal best distance of 41 feet and six inches, Patrick Henry won the discus, Onias Mirbel won the triple jump with a distance of 36 feet. Nick Colacitti won the javelin with a distance of 90-9.
On the girls side, Nicolette D’Itria was a triple-winner on the afternoon for the Spartans. D’Itria won the 2-miles in 14:04, the 400 in 72.6 seconds and the javelin with a distance of 65 feet. Temi Falayi, also a St. Mary’s triple-winner, won the 100-meter in 13.9 seconds (tied with teammate with Lily Belschner), the 200 with a personal best of 28.6 seconds and the high jump with a distance of four feet. Coley Callahan won the 400 hurdles in 1:16.4. Meghan Louis-Jean won the 100-meter high hurdles, Thalia Shaves won the mile, Morgan Pappas won the 800, and Kelli Powers won the shotput and the discus.
The Spartans are back at it on Saturday in the Catholic Central League freshman/sophomore meet.

The Tigers had a huge day at a big Commonwealth Athletic Conference meet, bringing home four wins in a clean sweep.
Akeem Blake had a big day, winning the 100 (11.56) and the high jump (5-10). Edgar Ortega won the 800 (2:16.38) and the 3200 (11:26.40). Jamie James won the discus (102-03) and finished second in the 200 (23.70) and third in the javelin (107-04). The team of Blake, Keoni Gaskin, James and Steffan Gravely won the 4×100 relay (45.92) and the team of Belmin Berilo, Juan Bernabe, Wilson Vina and Sebastian Ortiz finished second in the 4×400 (4:01.68). David Barrios (second place in triple jump, 37-9, third in 110 hurdles, 18.92), Elvin Gonzalez (second in long jump, 19-6, third in triple jump, 36-06 1/4) and Gravely (second in 100, 11.73 and second in javelin, 108-03) also had good days for the Tigers.

Tech fell to all four teams Tuesday, but saw good performances from Michayla Lawrence, who won the 200 (28.21), and Makalay Handley, who was a double-winner in the shot put (30-10 1/4) and the discus (83-07). The 4×100 team of Franciny Lechtenberg, Lawrence, Heidy Leclere and Handley finished second (56.37).
BASEBALL
Medford 14, Swampscott 5
Medford dealt Swampscott just its second loss. Bright spots for the Big Blue included sophomore Max Pegnato, who coach Jason Calichman said “threw the ball really well” in his three innings of work. Offensively, Ryan Graciale went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, Spencer Perkins went 2-for-4 with a walk, and Graham Inzana went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Swampscott (7-2) is back in action this afternoon against Everett.
SOFTBALL
Swampscott 8, English 1
English’s Emma Trahant went 1-for-3 with a single and Grace Gately went 1-for-3 with a double in the loss.
Beverly 5, Malden 4
The Panthers won on a walk-off single off the bat of Rona Scott, scoring Jackie Pia who doubled to start the bottom of the seventh.
Scott had a monster game, going 2-for-4 and driving in four of Beverly’s five runs, bringing home the other three on a three-run home run that tied the game in the fifth. Scott also got the win in the circle, striking out six of the eight batters she faced and allowing just one hit.
Marlee Hamor brought in the other run, going 2-for-3 with a solo home run,
Natalie Stilwell got the start and fanned eight batters, along with going 1-for-1 at the plate.
The Panthers (5-2) take on Somerville Thursday.
BOYS LACROSSE
Marblehead 13, Peabody 4
Manning Sears led the way for Marblehead with four goals, while Sam Cioffi added two goals and two assists. Thomas Quigley and Luke Anderson added two goals apiece.
BC High 13, St. John’s Prep 9
The Eagles fell to 4-5. KJ Sarni scored three goals as did Jack Richards. Zach Harde added a goal and an assist, Pat Keefe scored a goal and Kevin Casey added a goal. Goalie Mitch Carpenter tallied seven saves. Sophomore face-off man Ethan Barnard had a great game for St. John’s, winning 12 face offs and setting up multiple scoring opportunities. The Eagles return to action on Thursday when they host Xaverian.
BOYS TENNIS
Winthrop 5, Malden 0
The Vikings kept their strong season going on Tuesday with a clean sweep on the road in Malden. Corey Cherico got the win in first singles, 6-1, 6-3, Arthur Borash won second singles, 6-1, 6-0, and Timmy Duyon took third singles, 6-0, 6-0. In doubles play, the team of Matt Tarantino and Charlie Page won its match, 6-1, 6-3, and the team of Jaylen Cordes and Kevin Door won its match, 6-0, 6-1.
Winthrop (6-1) has a quick turnaround with a match against Marblehead this afternoon.
GOLF
Saugus 4, Braintree 2
The Sachems pulled above .500 at 5-4, getting wins from Lexie Lembo, Madison Slane, Rachel May and Jena Moore. Saugus takes on North Quincy today.
