LYNN — A drug investigation led to two arrests and the seizure of cocaine and heroin on Monday afternoon.
Alexander Jimenez, 45, of Lynn, was charged with heroin possession with intent to distribute, cocaine possession with intent to distribute and resisting arrest.
Yonny Minyety-Casado, 50, homeless, was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
A drug investigation that began in the area of Fuller Street resulted in the two arrests at Walnut Street by Gateway Lane at approximately 1:45 p.m., Lynn Police Lt. Dave Brown said.
“During the investigation, it was alleged that Jimenez attempted to evade capture, and prevent the officers from (discovering) the drugs,” Brown said.
Several plastic twists of rock-like substances, believed to be heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine were seized. No cash was seized, Brown said.
