Television and radio host Maria Menounos is recovering after surgery to remove a benign brain tumor, according to an interview the Medford native gave to People Magazine.
Menounos, best known for hosting several television programs including Access Hollywood, told the magazine she had the tumor removed in June and is recovering at home. She’s spending time with her mother, who is battling state 4 brain cancer.
“I didn’t cry. I actually laughed,” Menounos told People. “It’s so surreal and crazy and unbelievable that my mom has a brain tumor—and now I have one too?”
