Lynn Parks and Rec basketball reults

The Lynn Parks and Recreation summer basketball league continued on Wednesday, indoors at Lynn English. In the elementary school division, Buzzy Barton defeated Lynn Community, 39-28. Daniel Barry led the winning team with 10 points and two assists, and Rafael Zayas added nine points. Lynn Community was led by Terrance Tyler’s six rebounds and two assists.

Also in elementary school action, Pizza Lovers defeated Mayor Kennedy, 43-39. Mitchell Purter scored 12 points for Mayor Kennedy while Nelson Obarisiagba scored 11 points with four rebounds for Pizza Lovers.

In the middle school division, Columbia Insurance slipped past Bruno’s Bar in a close 29-26 game. Tyrese Garcia scored 13 points for the winning team while Tahj Purter scored 16 points with three rebounds and one assist for Bruno’s Bar.

Also in middle school action, Dandreo Brothers won a nail-bitter over North Shore Heating Supply, 36-35. North Shore was led by Jason Asemoth’s 16 points and two rebounds and Darion Anderson’s eight points and one assist. Dandreo Brothers were led by 13 points from Joenel Aguero and seven points and two rebounds from Jansyel Hernandez.

In the high school division, Solimine Funeral defeated Leahy Landscaping, 57-40. Calvin Seng scored 26 points and three assists and Gio Cordero added 13 points and seven rebounds for Solimine. Leahy was led by Wallace Reed’s 23 points and seven rebounds and D.J. Smith’s nine points and five rebounds.

Also in high school play, ERC Wiping took down Lynn Housing Authority, 53-46. Edwin Solis paced Lynn Housing with 21 points and Rondell Brathwaite contributed with nine points. ERC was led by 27 points from Jeffrey Barbosa and 14 points from Abraham Diaz.
