LYNN — Lynn Community Connections Coalition (LCCC) is hosting its inaugural HOOPS for HOPE Fundraiser on Aug. 26 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. at Breed Junior High School Basketball Court in Lynn.
The LCCC will be hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament in hopes of strengthening family support systems in communities throughout the city of Lynn.
The goal of the event is to bring the community together by raising money to help educate parents and create awareness to prevent Child Abuse and Neglect, according to a statement.
Their biggest hope in the fundraiser is to become a resource for Lynn in teaching parents nurturing skills and how to raise healthy children.
The coalition’s mission is “be kind. Every person you meet is fighting a hard battle.”
Players must be 18 years and older. Teams will be split into 4 to 7 players and will cost $25 per player. The fundraiser will host a variety of events during the tournament, such as a silent auction and 50-50 raffles.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The tournament will host special guest referees to be announced at a later date.
If interested in becoming a sponsor, donating $125 for your company’s name on the back of their t-shirts, or making a contribution, please contact Leroy Anderson at Lynn Community Connection’s Administrative Office (339-883-2345 or 2356) and/or via [email protected]
