Malden teen killed in Somerville

SOMERVILLE— A 16-year-old Malden boy was shot and killed early Tuesday evening in a house on Farragut Avenue.

Tenzin Kunkhyen, 16, of Malden was found with a gunshot wound, according to the Somerville Police.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 14 Farragut Ave. at about 5 p.m. According to a police statement, Kunkhyen was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he was pronounced dead. No arrests had been made in the case as of late Tuesday night.

Police are seeking the assistance of the public and have asked that anyone with any information on the shooting contact police  at 617-625-1600. The case is being investigated by Somerville Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
