LYNN — Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, and Frank Sinatra have left their old soul musical marks within the voice of 21-year-old Salvatore Valentinetti.
The former pizza delivery driver received the Golden Buzzer, the straight ticket to the live shows, from celebrity judge Heidi Klum on the 2016 season of “America’s Got Talent” while performing his own rendition of Frank Sinatra’s hit “My Way.”
“That day changed my life forever. I haven’t delivered one pizza since,” he said.
Valentinetti, or has his fans call him, “The Voice,” was raised in Long Island on the musical influences of his grandmother’s taste. According to him, she, as well as the rest of his supporting family, were the biggest reasons he began singing at the age of 15.
His singing career may have only begun seven years ago, but Valentinetti’s success continues to rapidly increase. Since being a finalist on America’s Got Talent last season, the born and raised New Yorker has had a number one EP on iTunes and has been touring around the country with his band “The Black Tie Brass.”
“I am so blessed and happy to be on stage every night,” he said.
The rising New York superstar will be making a stop in Red Sox nation during his very first tour. On Saturday, Sept. 16, Valentinetti and The Black Tie Brass will be performing at the Lynn Auditorium starting at 8 p.m.
